Welcome to Ms. Amanda's class website. Here you will be able to find classroom themes, homework assignments, tips, and resources.

Homework & Test Corrections

You will be given a variety of homework assignments covering the following areas of English/Language Arts...
-writing
-reading/literature
-grammar, usage, & mechanics
-vocabulary
-listening & speaking

There will be no consistent due date for any of the assignments as they will change based on the length of the assignment.  Some may be due the next day, some may be due in a couple days, others may be due on the next 6-day rotation.

It is absolutely imperative that you consistently write homework assignments with their due dates and test dates in your agenda to practice effective time management and study skills.

Signed Reading/Literature Test Instructions

Students are to NOT make any corrections on the original test.  This includes spelling, grammar, punctuation, incorrect responses, etc.  I would like those responses to remain in their original form so that way parents, students, and teachers can analyze and discuss the writing concepts that could be improved upon.

I would like all circled words that are incorrectly spelled to be crammed 3 times on the back.

I also would like questions that were not answered, did not receive full credit ( X or -1/2), or are highlighted to be written correctly on a separate piece of paper and attached to the back.

Returning the test on time, signed, and with the necessary corrections will earn you the full 25 points for the assignment.  These signed tests DO affect your grade.
